ELDER HYRUM RICHARDSON #100 -- APRIL 20, 2015
Well, this week had some ups and some downs.
Probably the most disappointing thing was that Brother Cai told us this week that he won't be able to get baptized on Saturday. He has a huge desire to get baptized, but one of the courts in Taiwan told him that he might have to go back to serve another jail sentence for a crime a long time ago, so he won't be able to get baptized this week. We hope that he can get the sentence postponed or removed so that he can still get baptized. Please pray for him!
Wednesday night I did a fun activity with my English class kids. We all drew and cut out plates and forks and spoons and then a bunch of different kinds of food. All of the kids had to say the name of their utensils and put them in the right place on the table, and then they had to say "(name) please pass the (food)" in order to get their food. I'm not very good at teaching kids, so usually it is pure inspiration that gets me through English class!
The best part about this week was that we got to go to the temple on Thursday! We went with Jonny and did baptisms with him. He told us afterwords that he felt really good and didn't know why, but we knew. The next day we had a lesson with him where we talked about the temple and told him that he's gotta go find a wife and get married. He was ok with that.
Saturday night, it started pouring rain, but we had to get to an appointment so we just started riding! We both got soaked, but after you are already wet, riding in the rain isn't that bad!
Sunday night we spent awhile at 周爸‘s (Zhou Ba's) house. We had a lesson with Brother Cai and then Zhou Ba cooked us some super delicious dinner.
Well, this weeks email is kind of short, but it was overall a pretty good week! Tomorrow we have a "mission tour" with Elder Gong, one of the Area Presidency, which should be fun!
That's it for this week!
Add oil!
