SISTER MELISSA RICHARDSON WEEKLY LETTER #71 -- NOV 18, 2014

SISTER MELISSA RICHARDSON
NOVEMBER 18, 2014

It's been another great week here at the river. Sister Hall and I
taught 19 lessons this week! We aren't really sure how that happened,
but it's great!

We had a lesson with J&J (part member family) at the Patch's (member)
home and taught the restoration! I still learn new things every time i
teach the restoration. Sister Hall on the spot came up with a great
analogy to better explain the apostasy--of leaving a group of kids in
a classroom without a teacher...your imagination can take it from
there.

We had a miracle lesson with this young couple from the Dominican
Republic that we found tracting. They have cute two year old twins.
They are some elect people that have been seeking for the truth. They
said if they came to know this was he truth, they would be baptized.
Well lucky for them, it is the truth! We can't wait to go back and
teach them.

We had this older couple that are investigators of ours come to the
family history center with us! It was great! And was just like those
training videos they show us where the person gets all excited when
they find their family members name in a record. It was grand :)

Like Hyrum, I also helped move a fridge this week. But it didn't end
up so well. We were helping this sweet old lady that is a member clean
behind her fridge and so we pulled it out and it was all fine and we
got it clean. Then we pushed it back into place and something under
the fridge scraped up the linoleum tiling and cut a nice wedge in it.
We didn't know what to do...so we just pushed it back into place and
hoped her eyes wouldn't notice. Haha. It was embarrassing.

We have recently seen some miracles with some less actives. We've been
able to get in and have a lesson with people that are hard to set
appointments with. It's been great! There were several less actives
that came to church this past Sunday! Also, Brother Luna came in a
white shirt and tie for the first time yesterday to church and helped
prepare and bless the sacrament. It was pretty neat :)

Crystal is still being an amazing missionary! Her half sister that we
taught last week...the sister missionaries in her area (Georgia, not
in our mission) went over and gave her a Book of Mormon. She has been
posting verses from 1 Nephi on Facebook this week! Pretty cool!

It was cold for about two days this week...as in it got to the 50s and
I wore my tights and wool sweater...I'm as bad as the rest of the
floridians now. But when you're biking and there's that cold wind,
it's not that pleasant. But it's back to the 80s again today. I
remember that it didn't really get cold last year until
January/February.

I'm excited for the upcoming holiday season! The stake here is having
an awesome nativity event that will be a great missionary opportunity

Love you all!
Sister Richardson
