ELDER JOSEPH RICHARDSON - December 14, 2016 - Week 68: The Running of the Olds

Hi everyone!

This week has been kinda crazy. Elder Durrett was sick through
Tuesday, then I caught it and was down on Wednesday, so our work was a
little lacking. However, we got some good work done.

Due to Christmas being next week, transfers are this week. Elder
Durrett is going to Surprise! He is switching places with Elder
Holifield, who I knew back in Surprise.

The big highlight of the week was the Sun City Christmas party. They
rented out a big room in the community center and had a "Winter
Wonderland" dinner with a musical program. I've never seen so many old
people in my entire life! 😜 Afterwards, the relief society needed to
do something with all the decorations, so they announced that they
would sell each centerpiece for $7 each. You should've seen those
grandmas scurry to get their favorite pieces first! We had to stay
after to help haul away the piano, so we saw the whole thing.

I've still been doing a fair bit of tech work for the people in Sun
City. One lady offered for me to help out her Jewish neighbor, but it
didn't end up panning out. I'm still working on it though! At some
point, this project will go somewhere.

I was at the mission office yesterday for about 2 hours trying to fix
the printer. Due to some weird circumstances, the printer refused to
connect to one computer in the office, which happened to be the
receptionist's right when a new senior sister is taking over. We had
fun though. One of the senior elders found out he is 6th cousins with
President Griffin, which we all thought was super funny.

Hope everything is going well for y'all!

Keep Hauling that Water,
Elder Joseph Richardson
