Hello everybody!
It was a pretty good week in the mission. We now have 3 people on
baptismal date, one for May and two for June.
We had a super solid lesson with Cesar this week about the scriptures.
We realized that we needed to make sure he was reading, so we read the
first part of 1 Nephi 5 with him and talked about how he could apply
it to his life. Then, we asked him to read the rest of chapter 5 and
6, and had him look for the blessings of having the scriptures to
read.
We also got to go to the Phoenix temple this week. We went to the 6am
Endowment session, and then met some of our recent converts for
baptisms at 9am. We got to take the "super secret" temple worker
elevator to get down to the baptistery from the dressing rooms, which
was kind of funny.
Later that day, we were at the church giving a church tour. We started
filling the font to the proper spot for an eight year old's baptism,
but then ran off to do our church tour and forgot about it. Luckily,
we walked back by with the investigators 20 minutes later, right as it
was beginning to overflow! That was a fun experience! :P
What was the best part of y'all's week? :)
Keep Hauling that water,
Elder Joseph Richardson
