ELDER JOSEPH RICHARDSON - February 2, 2016 - Week 23: Nap Time?

Hello everyone,

This week has been pretty good, but a tad crazy, which is why I've been kinda tired recently.

On Monday, we had a district activity hiking the Constellation Trail. It was a fun little hike, and we climbed on the rocks and got to go up a mountain.

On Tuesday, we went and did service again. We were trying to remove this bush, and it was really funny because the bush squeaked every time we put the shovel to it. That made things fun. Later, we had a lesson with Tom again, talking about the Word of Wisdom. He thinks he'll be able to keep it, and is dedicated to do his best at removing coffee and wine from his life. We also visited some less actives, one of which wasn't too happy to see us. Another put on this weird music with chanting when we came to the door, then didn't answer, which kind of creeped us out.

Wednesday was Zone Conference. We got a new car, a Jeep Compass instead of our beat up Toyota Corolla. A Jeep is much better for the dirt roads in our area. In Zone Conference, we discussed various things, including some of the subjects from the Worldwide Broadcast on the 20th. It was a good meeting, and they fed us Hawaiian Haystacks for lunch.

On Friday, we went after District meeting to help the Sisters with some service for one of their members. We helped sand off ridges in the drywall on the house he is building. Needless to say, we all got covered in drywall dust. I'm still trying to get the taste out of my mouth. But it was fun.

On Saturday, we were on exchanges. I was with Elder Wilcox, who was in my MTC district. We went all over, visiting less actives and checking up on how our 21 Day Promise initiative has gone with the members.

Sunday was Stake Conference. It was a good meeting with a bunch of great talks by recent converts and the stake presidency, of course. I admit it, I fell asleep. It's hard to stay awake as a missionary in a meeting. :P

Anyway, that's about it. I'm tired. Hooray for P-day!

Keep Hauling that Water,
Elder Joseph Richardson
