Hello everyone!
This has been a good week! It was Transfer week last week, so PDay was
on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, we did a bunch of moving of stuff to be ready for the
new transfer. We ended up renting a "Rug Doctor" to help us clean our
carpets. We ended up cleaning the carpets for the bulk of Wednesday
and Thursday.
Thursday night, we had a lesson with Eric, the guy I talked about who
believes that "yielding our hearts to God" means he takes away our
agency. We explained how the atonement works and how it helps us to
make the right choices. Brother Butler, a member who came with us, did
a great job helping Eric to understand.
On Friday, we had district meeting. Each member of our district got to
talk about our favorite General Conference talks, and how they apply
to missionary work. I spoke on Elder Holland's talk at the very end. I
loved how he talked about what happens after great spiritual
experiences.
Yesterday, we found four new people to teach! And two have a baptism
date! Hooray! We met one of them, Liz, a few weeks ago, but we finally
got a proper lesson with her and her husband. We taught about the
Restoration, and Liz says she already knows it is true! We put them on
date for the 7th of May. We also visited a less active lady her
nonmember husband, and her nonmember mother-in-law. We had a lesson
with them and talked about the restoration.
All in all, it was a pretty great week!
Keep hauling that water,
Elder Joseph Richardson
