Hello everyone,
This was a pretty good week. Transfers are tomorrow, and I'll be staying put, but getting Elder Zitting as a companion. He's going to be a Zone leader, and I will be the district leader.
This past week biked a lot. On Tuesday, we biked all around the 1st ward, dropping by potential and former investigators. We tried to do the same thing in Cactus Lane ward on Wednesday, but I popped my fourth flat of the month, which put a damper on the whole thing. That night, we had a good little lesson with the Grovers, an awesome member family. They've made a family mission plan that they are going to fulfill by Christmas!
On Thursday, We got to go to the temple. It was super great to get to go and do a session again! Our Ward Mission Leader took us, but he found out his recommend was expired, so he couldn't do the session with us.
Friday, we had District meeting, which was good. It was Elder Owens' and Hermana Zamora's last one. They went home yesterday. We also visited a referral we got from Elder Dill's sister and gave him a Book of Mormon.
On Saturday, we did a lot of biking and tracting. We met a lady that had written "Jesus Lives here" on her door. She said she has a "severe relationship" with Jesus Christ. It was kind of funny, but got me thinking about the weird fallacy among some Christians where they treat Christ as an object to be owned, and selfishly guarded. We also ran into President Griffin, who was doing exit interviews with Elder Owens and Hermana Zamora.
On Sunday, we got to visit with some members. Elder Dill said goodbye to some people, as he is leaving, and we had a relaxing night.
Monday was a work day, so we were out doing stuff all day. We visited with a recent convert, Sister Schleder, and Elder Dill went to a member's dental office to get new retainers. We got steak and potatoes for dinner from an awesome member, and got haircuts.
All in all, it was a good week. I'm excited to be doing new things, the area is picking up a bit, and it's getting cooler. It's awesome!
Keep Hauling That Water,
Elder Joseph Richardson
