This week has been kind of weird, but good. We essentially had half of
the week off because of Christmas Festivities.
On Tuesday, we decided to do some tracting, as we are trying pretty
hard to find people to teach. We met one woman, named Molly, who let
us share the Christmas Video with her. Unfortunately, we also found a
man who just left the church and only wanted to argue.
On Wednesday, we had our Christmas Conference at the Mesa Temple. It
was a ton of fun! We went and toured the Mesa Visitor's Center, and
saw all the exhibits we can bring investigators to. We then did a
session in the temple, which was especially cool because we got to see
the old film that predates the current ones. We went to Golden Corral
for dinner, which all the Elders heartily enjoyed! 😄 I got to
reminisce a bit with Sister Lewis, who was in my MTC District way back
over a year ago.
On Thursday, once we finished our weekly Planning, we went out and met
a bunch of people in Sun City. It was pretty fun to see the big
variance of people out there.
We spent Friday doing pretty similar stuff.
On Saturday, we had a Zone Activity in the morning, then helped
someone move. We also got to go to a big Board Game store called
Imperial Outpost Games. We looked around for awhile, and some other
Elders bought a game or two. Elder Sam Webb, from the Springdale
Stake, bought Star Wars Rebellion, a $100 board game that is super
crazy cool. There was a bunch of really cool stuff, and I thought of
Robert Clawson, who would love the place.
That night, we went over to the Kealers so I could do my Christmas
Call. It was really awesome to see my parents again, and I'm pretty
happy about it! 🙂 Afterwards, we played a game called 5 second rule,
where you have to name 3 things in a category in 5 seconds.
Christmas Day was pretty great! We went to church, then Elder
Holifield called his parents. Meanwhile, we played a bunch more games
with the Kealers.
All in all, it's been a good week. How are y'all doing?
