Hello everyone!
This week, the temperature in the Pheonix Valley has taken off! It is
hot! And we did a 4 hour move in 117*F!
A big thing this week was that we worked with our district leader and
Zone leaders to create a video to pump up the zone for doing scouting
(for some reason we renamed finding....) anyways, it's been pretty
fun. We are also doing a cool zone goal/reward system around scouting
and merit badges. I'll include the list of badges we're doing at the
end.
Also, Elder Leavitt has been working super hard trying to figure out
some medical issues, including a freaky gallbladder issue. He had an
interesting episode trying to get ahold of his medical records so he
can get surgery after he goes home. The problem keeps arising that no
one will tell you anything unless you're already paying them, so Elder
Leavitt couldn't even get his doctor to give him an actual diagnosis,
as he would need to have another appointment for that. Needless to
say, it's been interesting. :P
On Saturday, we helped a less active family move stuff out of their
storage unit. It took four hours and I sweated buckets! :P I was
happy, because they supplied plenty of water and fed us
Jack-in-the-Box. Then we were sad, because they told us they would be
at church, but they weren't.... :'(
We're working with tons of people, and it's been pretty crazy! We have
people going on and off baptismal date like crazy!
Lessee if I can remember. At last count, I've got one friend engaged,
multiple friends on missions, two married sisters, an older brother
whose creating atomic physics weaponry (jk :P), a spotlight operator
of a sister, two actor siblings, a hyperactive trio of little
brothers, a mother and sister who are literally building a campsite
right now, and my Dad is fresh from China, or something like that.
I hope everyone is doing well.
Keep Hauling that water,
Elder Joseph Richardson
