So, as I said last week, I got transferred. I'm now serving in Sun
City and the Apache Park Ward in Northern Glendale. It's been pretty
cool. My new companion is Elder Durrett, who is fresh out of training.
He was trained by Elder White, who came out and was trained in my
district when I was up in Prescott.
Anyways, so on Wednesday I showed up for the transfers and found out
that I would be part of the Glendale North/Deer Valley Zone, which is
a pretty big Zone of four districts. I preside over a district of 6
missionaries: us, a set of sisters, and another set of elders.
Apparently they just changed a whole bunch of stake boundaries, so
there's a lot of confusion right now.
On Thursday, I got to go to the mission office and learn some things
about the tech work I will be doing for President Griffin. It's always
fun to go to the mission office, and this time was no exception.
On Friday, we met a homeless man who came by the church building named
Troy. He has had some Mormon friends, and wants to learn more about
us. It was pretty cool, and he is actually elder Durrett's first new
investigator he has found since he came out. They don't find too many
new people out in Sun City. Everyone's old there. :P
We also ran into a quilting group who'd taken over the whole relief
society room, which I though was super funny.
Saturday and Sunday were pretty uneventful. I was actually sick and am
still getting over it. It's not much fun to be sick, especially on a
mission.
That's pretty much my week. Let me know how y'all are doing!
