Hello everyone,
Things have been pretty good recently. As I said last week, I've just
gotten a new companion, Elder Bradshaw. We're getting along pretty
well.
This week has involved a lot of short messages to members. We got way
behind setting up our ward for the "21 Day promise" initiative, so
we've been going around getting everyone started as fast as we can.
That has been the bulk of our work recently.
On Thursday, Elder Bradshaw had a leadership meeting, and I got to
meet the missionaries replacing Elder Dill and Sister Kabel. Turns
out, Sister Miyazaki, who was in my MTC district, is now serving up
here in our district! It was fun to see her again.
We also had another lesson with Tom, the husband of our recent
convert. He is progressing fairly well and seems ready to take some
big steps. We asked him if he felt he was ready for a baptism date,
but he wants us to keep teaching him more, so he's not ready to commit
quite yet.
Friday, before District meeting, we went to In-and-Out and had
burgers with the YSA elders, including a brand new missionary, Elder
White. After a great meeting, we started visiting a 125 person long "I
don't know" list, essentially all the less actives. At least no one's
pulled a gun on us yet! :P
On Sunday, we sang "I am a Child of God" in Sacrament meeting with the
Moshier family. We got asked to help because the men in the family
didn't want to participate :P it was fun, and it was really fun to
sing in a family setting again.
That's pretty much all I have to say about this week.
Keep Hauling that Water,
Elder Joseph Richardson
