Hello everyone,
This week was pretty great! We are finally starting to teach Isabella, a new investigator who kept pushing back our first lesson.
This week, we met a lot with some of the people we've been working with. It's been a really interesting week of learning about people, and the trials of life.
Elder Dill's birthday was on Thursday, and it was a lot of fun! His sister, who lives in Mesa, dropped off a box of stuff for him, and the other Elders we live with gave him a cake! We went to lunch at a great place called Jim's Burgers π and Eggs π³. It was super good, and a member paid for us out of the blue!
We also played Risk this week in our downtime. I somehow managed to win!π
On Saturday, we had a big ward barbecue, and we had a bunch of nonmembers and less active people come! They had a gigantic water balloon fight, and Elder Dill got dubbed a "modern Samuel the Lamanite" because he managed to dodge getting hit so many times. There was a grilling contest, so there was tons of good food!π
Today, we got to go try playing pickleballπ. We played from 6 to 8am, then went back to play more later! It's like tennis, but with less running. At the courts in the park, we met the Vice President of the Surprise Pickleball Association, and she gave us some "real" pickleballs (we had cheap Walmart ones) and taught us how to play. The guy who originally said he'd teach us never showed up, so it was good she was there. Now pickleball might just become a zone tradition on P-Day mornings!
